Viki's amazing ramblings  I think I'm actually sincerely happy right now. Excited for tomorrow even though there's nothing important about it. Slumdog Millionaire <3 Dev Patel <3333 So Lent starts tomorrow. Time for my 40 days of no meat plus anything else I'm willing to give up. I decided to write a list on here of what I'm going to refrain from eating/doing. NO... - Meat of any kind or anything that contains meat in it (only shrimp is allowed for it has no blood or back bones) - Chips for they have oil - Cookies for they contain egg - Cheese unless its a must in a certain kind of food (such as pizza or lasagna --> they are allowed) - Stuffed peppers with feta for they contain oil and cheese - Pop just because its bad and its not natural - Bocconcini salad for thats just pure oil and cheese --> This is going to be a little hard - No biting nails - No more staying up late - No more spending money on useless things - No more pulling hair --> This is going to be very hard "I've been travelling on this road too long, Just trying to find my way back home, The old me is dead gone, Dead and gone." This song is currently speaking to me. Strange how much we can change over the course of 5 years. Five years ago was Grade 9, which somehow I can remember in great detail but it feels like ages ago. It also scares me how much I've changed since then. I guess in some aspects I've changed for the better, in other aspects I'm not so sure. I feel like since then I've been spiralling either upward or downward (I'm not really sure which way is good and which way is bad). Most of us awesome that going upwards is usually a good thing, but where did we get that idea from? Because heaven's up there? I'm really not sure anymore. Everytime I write on this its usually because I'm in some depressed mood or whatever but I've been like this for three weeks now. Well not just three weeks, pretty much for five years now. Its just intensified these three weeks. Maybe I'm not depressed. Maybe that's what my personality has just changed into. Now that I think about, I've been like this ever since I came back from Greece in Grade 8. That country is like my narcotic man. No one really understands the connection I have with that country, not even my parents. That could be the reason why I'm so heavily into history and why every aspect of me is all about being Greek and Greek-ness in general. I'm proud of my culture, but I think its moreso where if I'm so involved with it from here, it kind of makes me feel connected to the country itself. I think that's what it is. This depression. This constant sadness, bitterness, and search for something better. I know where I can find the cure, or the better, and its over there. This may sound silly and what not but I think its in Greece, not Canada, that I'll find whatever it is I'm looking for. I have unfinished business over there for some reason and I really need to find out what it is. The old me died there and I need to know why. This road I've been travelling on, it started there and has lead me here. I need to find my way back there, my true home. I've slipped down a road that I thought I never would. The neglecting of my school and assignments, the smoking, the depression, the constant mental battle I'm having to block certain things (or someone) out, the I-don't-give-a-shit attitude, the flirtacious aspect of myself that just won't stop. I have all my friends and family and yet I feel so alone. Time to stop pitying myself and move on. I can't believe it. Oh gosh yes, chips, theyre calling me.....WILL POWER DAMMIT So for four days last week I didn't leave my house. I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl from morning till night and beat the game. It got so bad though to the point that I searched up hints on the internet to beat the Great Maze level. Tabbuu was the easiest boss to beat, he shouldn't have been the final one. Friday was Frankie's birthday and also the anniversary for me having been a woman now for 7 years. I only remember that day in grade 6 because my cousin was born that day. Oh yeah it was also my cousin's birthday. So on Friday I picked him up from work and we went and hung out with Michali at some satellite store he works at which was real sketch located at Midland and Progress. We were there till 9 at night and it was only us three and yeah it was pretty jokes. Saturday morning went to St. Lawrence Market for the first time with my family. Bought 80 dollars worth of feta cheese because my dad is a nut. That night went to Jack Astor's with the St. Francis Xavier crew (Me, Jordana, Stefanie, Vanessa, Chivaun, and Nicole) for Jordana's 18th birthday! Yay she's finally one of us. After slept over at her house where we had a fun night of being intoxicated (especially on my part), laughing, giggling and filming our own Circus music video. It should be posted on Facebook soon care of Nicole. Sunday came home, went to soccer, went to my cousin's for his bday, came home and family friends came over to watch the Golden Globes. Heath won, bless him <3 Then today me and my mommy are going to see Dancing with the Stars! Originally i bought the tickets for her and my dad but my dad insists I should go because he feels I'll enjoy it more. So I had four days of boredom and four days of nonstop action. Tomorrow I need to hit the Y because I haven't gone in three days. ANNOUNCEMENT: I HAVE GONE WITHOUT CHIPS FOR 9 DAYS NOW! THAT IS A RECORD FOR ME! AND IVE ONLY HAD POP TWICE IN THAT AMOUN School is still on strike, what else is new. I hardly go on Facebook anymore.
